Bought this Extreme III card on the basis of other reviews. Did not know the difference between cards. Thought all were the same except for brand names and GBs. Used this card and new Canon SD750 at my daughters wedding at Sandals Royale Caribbean in Jamaica and am very pleased with the results. The wedding was on the beach and you can just snap away one after the other photo. The camera sends it to the card and the card reads it EXTREMLY fast. Highly recommended.

This was great! fastest shutter speeds was possible with the extreme cards as pictures were writtenn on to it twice as fast. Would definitely get another one of there (but would wait till they come up with a larger capacity)

Used this in a pocket camera. I don’t know the technical difference between this and the cheap cards. The practical difference is that even with a pocket camera (Canon IS870) write time is significantly faster.
With the bargain card, time between shots is significantly longer than with this card.
I was skeptical, and bought one of these and one of the cheapies. The better quality does seem to be worth the additional $$. Also came with a nice little pouch– easier to keep track of it.

It works as one would expect a 2GB USB drive to work. My complaints are with the construction - the keychain loop broke within two weeks - I actually got lucky as I found mine laying on the ground outside of my apartment. Also, the cap doesn’t fit a snugly as one might hope.

I’ve only had this item for about a week but easily put a months worth of wear and tear on it. I’ve formatted, installed & tested all kinds of Linux USB distros on this thing and it has worked flawlessly so far.
It also blows away my PNY Optima Attache 2G.
While it does transfer back and forth at a decent speed, I’ll still keep a wandering eye out for any others that can outperform. For now, I will stick with Kingston until I find one of those “rotten eggs” I keep seeing in these reviews!

This USB drive is the cheapest I could find, at 10$ and works perfectly well, the transfer speed is great with all types of files, small or big, and I didn’t experience any slow speed, as other users stated they had. This USB drive is awesome, especially for such a low price, this is the best choice for whoever needs a simple and efficient 2Gb USB drive, also the design is really good, with attractive colors and the activity light add to it when in use, an excellent choice, and a bargain if not a steal.

Design
With a total weight of 5.1 ounces and slim measurements of 3.87 x 2.91 x 0.87 inches (WxHxD), the nüvi 350 is just right for the pocket or purse. A bright, 64,000-color display dominates the front of the device and a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels means that there’s plenty of room for displaying map data and other elements of the device’s interface. An SD memory card slot is provided for expansion software, such as a points of interest database, media files and electronic guides (see below). The flip-up antenna includes an MCX-type connector for connecting the unit to an external GPS antenna. Meanwhile, a powerful built-in speaker resides on the back of device. A built-in lithium ion battery will give you for to eight hours of battery life, depending on use. In addition to an AC charger, the unit also ships with a 12-volt power adapter for vehicle charging, as well as a windshield suction cup mount.
Fortunately, Garmin has made it easy to interface with the nüvi 350’s 700 megabytes of onboard memory, thanks to “plug-and-play” USB mass storage support. Just plug the device into your computer’s USB port and you’ve got instantaneous access to all the audio books, music, photos, supplemental maps and other data on the nüvi 350’s internal and SD card memory.
Navigation
The nüvi 350 is first and foremost a personal GPS device. Wherever you go — in your car or on foot– the device offers extremely accurate position data, thanks to a high-sensitivity integrated GPS receiver by SiRF and WAAS-enabled, 12-satellite reception. Combined with detailed maps of the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico the nüvi 350 provides automatic routing, turn-by-turn voice directions, and touchscreen control– making it easy to find your way anywhere. Plus, the unique “text-to-speech” feature calls out turns by street name, and you can choose from either 2D or 3D mapping perspectives when you’re viewing your route on the display. Additionally, the nüvi 350 is compatible with Garmin’s GTM 10 FM TMC traffic receiver*, which allows users to avoid traffic tie-ups by simply pushing a button that will calculate a new route.
As mentioned, the nüvi 350 comes packed with mapping data for North America, but you can can also load up your custom points of interest. Set up proximity alerts for school zones, safety cameras, and more using Garmin’s free POI (points of interest) loader program (available from garmin.com).

Tools for the Journey
Navigation is just part of the journey, and the nüvi 350 is one of the first devices to recognize that. The built-in “Travel Kit” offers an MP3 player, an audio book player from Audible.com, a jpeg-format picture viewer, a world travel clock with time zones, a currency converter, a measurement converter, and a calculator.
In addition to the included travel tools, additional software add-ons are available, such as the Garmin Language Guide, with data provided by Oxford University Press. This software suite contains a multilingual word bank, phrase bank, and five bilingual dictionaries. The multilingual word bank and phrase bank supports nine languages and dialects, including American English, British English, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, European Spanish, and Latin American Spanish. Now you can look up and translate more than 17,000 words or 20,000 phrases per language — right in the palm of your hand. Through the unit’s text-to-speech interface, users can get a spoken pronunciation of each entry in the word bank, along with gender and part of speech information.
Another useful add-on software package, the Garmin Travel Guide, is loaded with information provided by Marco Polo. These guides put in-depth travel information such as reviews and recommendations for restaurants, tourist attractions, and more at your fingertips. The software allows you to navigate to an address or search points of interest– places like hotels, restaurants, shopping, and tourist attractions. The nüvi 350 automatically calculates the fastest route and provides voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions along the way. The unit also audibly announces the name of upcoming streets– letting you keep your eyes on the road while navigating through busy traffic and tricky roadways. And if you stray off course, the nüvi 350 automatically calculates the quickest way to get back on track.
*Traffic services available only in select cities where RDS-TMC coverage exists. Requires the GTM 10 FM TMC traffic receiver and subscription fee to enable traffic capability.

Wonderful device….wish it had come with a full manual…had to download and print it from the Garmin website..a lot of pages and printing ink and paper…..it took some getting used to as to how to preview your intended route without going through the whole route in real time…and initially did not realize the arrow supposedly pointing north was pointing south…so all directions during the first tries were backwards!!!!!! Intuitively, I finally touched the arrow to correct its orientation and from then on, directions were correct. Once you get to know it and use it a few times, it is a wonderment!

I think this unit is one of the best buys out there today. The addition of the sd card slot and ability to play audible books and mp3’s make this a great road tool that I use all the time. The way it pauses the audible program you are listening to to announce directions is a great touch.

It’s a 60X speed card and is what a lot of the digital camera manufacturers suggest. You can get greater speed with a 80X but you have to pay quite a bit more and I’m not sure you will see any real difference deserving the price.

Bought this card from here and it died after about 4 hours of use. My PC won’t recognize it at all and I can’t format it. The 1Gb Kingston card I have works fine. I realize this product has a great rating but I can’t give it more than 1 star when it dies on me.

The end of March, 2008 I purchased through Amazon a
garmin nuvi 660. When I press the BACK key button and some of the letters
on the pad they do not function correctly. I
e-mailed Beach Camera as to what course of action I should take they never returned my e-mail. I hope you can do something in this matter.
5 Stars Great Product
I purchased this for my husband. He loves it. It is the answer to the hands free problem for states that will not allow cell phone use while driving. The bluetooth capability for the phone is great. The voice recognition worked automatically with his phone book.
This is an upgrade from a an older Garmin. He really likes the ability to move the map around to see what is in a particular direction. I can not think of anything more other than XM or Sirius all in one unit.

I purchased this GPS for work travel. It’s been great. The Bluetooth links up to my cell easily, but people on the other end can’t hear me very well. I might be to far from the unit for them to hear well. I would highly recommend this unit!

Great upgrade to an old Streetpilot, Bigger screen more of a plus than expected, Improved layout of menu
Unit froze once and needed to be turned off to reset.
Volume on bluetooth connection could be higher.
Looses bluetooth connection even when phone location has not changed.

The traffic indicator on this unit is great, it automatically re-routes you based on the shortest travel time. It takes a while to pick up satelites and map your route but over all is a good product.

This was great! fastest shutter speeds was possible with the extreme cards as pictures were writtenn on to it twice as fast. Would definitely get another one of there (but would wait till they come up with a larger capacity)
5 Stars Noticeably faster performance
Used this in a pocket camera. I don’t know the technical difference between this and the cheap cards. The practical difference is that even with a pocket camera (Canon IS870) write time is significantly faster.
With the bargain card, time between shots is significantly longer than with this card.
I was skeptical, and bought one of these and one of the cheapies. The better quality does seem to be worth the additional $$. Also came with a nice little pouch– easier to keep track of it.

It works as one would expect a 2GB USB drive to work. My complaints are with the construction - the keychain loop broke within two weeks - I actually got lucky as I found mine laying on the ground outside of my apartment. Also, the cap doesn’t fit a snugly as one might hope.

I’ve only had this item for about a week but easily put a months worth of wear and tear on it. I’ve formatted, installed & tested all kinds of Linux USB distros on this thing and it has worked flawlessly so far.
It also blows away my PNY Optima Attache 2G.
While it does transfer back and forth at a decent speed, I’ll still keep a wandering eye out for any others that can outperform. For now, I will stick with Kingston until I find one of those “rotten eggs” I keep seeing in these reviews!

This USB drive is the cheapest I could find, at 10$ and works perfectly well, the transfer speed is great with all types of files, small or big, and I didn’t experience any slow speed, as other users stated they had. This USB drive is awesome, especially for such a low price, this is the best choice for whoever needs a simple and efficient 2Gb USB drive, also the design is really good, with attractive colors and the activity light add to it when in use, an excellent choice, and a bargain if not a steal.
